Tinley Park Dentist Helps Patients Better Understand Restorative Dental Treatments

Written by Dr. Zaibak on Apr 5, 2016

In our Tinley Park dental office, we offer a number of different restorative dentistry treatment options to suit patients with various dental needs. We know that even the most committed and diligent dental patients sometimes run into oral health issues, which is why we try to make it as simple as possible for people to receive restorative treatment.

Today we will be reviewing some of the commonly used dental treatments in our office—let’s get started!

If you are noticing small cracks or chip in your enamel, our dental team may be able to remedy this by completing dental bonding. Our dentist can fill in and rebuild diminished enamel with dental resin that has been custom shaded to fit your teeth. Once the bonding process is complete, the resin will blend in totally with your natural tooth. Plus, durable dental resin holds us to daily eating, drinking, and cleaning.

Using dental crowns we can restore teeth that are more severely and comprehensively damaged. Tooth-colored crowns do not stand out as old, amalgam crowns did. The modern crowns that we use look and feel natural for the patient.

If you are dealing with a serious dental infection, or a deep fracture, our dental team may perform root canal therapy in order to restore your tooth. During root canal therapy our team clears away the inner core of your tooth, including the dental roots. We can then rebuild the tooth with a restoration; thus saving the remaining health dental structure.

Finally, if you are missing teeth, you may benefit from dental implants. These replacement teeth have replacement dental roots that actually keep the replacement teeth embedded in the jawbone.

The best way to figure out what type of restorative treatment is right for you is to schedule a consultation with our Orland Park dentists—we are her to help!
