Whitening and lightening your teeth can quickly improve the appearance of your smile. In our Tinley Park cosmetic dentist office we offer state-of-the-art Zoom whitening to help our patients minimize dental staining. Let’s learn more about how Zoom whitening works, and what it can do for your smile!

The Zoom bleaching process is an in-office treatment that can tackle even the most persistent types of dental staining.

When you come in for treatment our dental team will shield your lips and gum tissue with a protective covering. After these parts of your smile are safeguarded, we can apply the whitening formulation to your dental enamel.

Our dental team will apply the whitening gel to your teeth. Then, we’ll use the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp to activate and accelerate the whitening properties of this gel. As the gel goes to work, it will penetrate the dental enamel and the dentin, to minimize existing stains.

This treatment process generally takes about forty-five minutes to an hour to complete. You may see full results after just one appointment, or we may repeat the Zoom process over a number of different appointments in order to reach your desired level of whiteness.

After the gel is removed from your teeth, our dental team will place a topical fluoride paste on your smile, in order to minimize your risk of suffering from dental sensitivity post treatment.

Additionally, our dental team may provide you with a post-treatment touch up kit. This kit is designed to help you maintain your white smile at home in the months after Zoom whitening.
